I liked the 1992 version because it was quite distinctive.
I thought it got a new jingle in October 1997 when the BBC logo changed.

As in being in the US strange seeing programs spelled as programmes. I know it is a Commonwealth thing except in Canada and Australia and European thing that programs is spelled as programmes.

BBC4 didn't have any specially created Christmas idents before 2005, they merely added jingle bells to the soundtrack of their regular idents - I don't think I have recording of any of these.
